Music is a big part of my life. It is important to me. This is all about the sounds that keep us in one piece.
Prom Weekend '00 - Dispatch played on the front lawn
meet the band
Concerts rock. I got to meet a bunch of bands, and got to stay and talk with a few. Duncan Sheik and Sister Hazel I met at my first concert, and then at later concerts I met Orgy, Christopher Hall(Stabbing Westward), Dickie Barrett(Mighty Mighty Bosstones), Jimmie's Chicken Shack, the Long Beach Dub Allstars, Orgy, and Blink-182. That was cool.
bands that kick
Jimmie's Chicken Shack - local boys. listen to their older stuff. it's golden.
Zebrahead - yum yum. gotta love "get back." they do some hard stuff, and some more funky stuff. good variety.
A Perfect Circle - maynard's voice is expressive. he wails. the music makes me cry sometimes.
the KGB - a few guys from socal who just want to have a good time. their music is so darn fun. from bouncy and ska-ish to groovy and butt-shaking, you gotta love them.
The Nields - two sisters and three guys who sing about life as a female. they tend to be pretty folky but have some more alternative songs, too. they're from new england.
music that bites
bubblegum music sucks. I just had to write that somewhere.
bands I don't normally admit to liking
La Bouche - yeah, I know. la bouche. are they still around? theirs was the first cd I ever bought. I thought it would make me cool.
Lit - I don't really know why people don't like lit. they rock. I could listen to their cds for hours.
